Doubliners are a series of rough sketches drawn from photographs of passers by in the streets of Dublin. These sketches have been photographed and their negative image, mixed with a colour picture divided in two. This work is an attempt to combine the mechanics of duplicating (which explains the pun on Joyce's title Dubliners) and the spontaneity of the gesture. There are six pieces in the series.
